A LITTLE ABOUT WHAT MAKES SEASIDE A SPECIAL VACATION EXPERIENCE
Seaside is not just a resort, it is a living town. The community was built on the vision of a man named Robert S. Davis, who inherited what was then the Davis family summer retreat from his grandfather. Robert wanted to share the magic of his family’s retreat with the wider world.
After careful planning, Davis established the town, over 30 years ago. This beach town has a lot of old-fashioned charm, but also containing an eclectic mix of architectural styles, by design. Robert’s vision is based on a pioneering concept of New Urbanism. The community has always been pedestrian-friendly, with a special mix of aesthetically pleasing architecture, and destinations that make for a unique experience.
You will never regret your choice to stay at this quaint summer retreat, it is steeped in local history, and filled with fun activities for the whole family. The area features gorgeous beaches, wedding venues, parasailing, and wonderful dining options. Not far from town, Grayton Beach State Park has a coastal dune lake and hiking trails to explore.
