Hakuna Matata in Seaside
Welcome to Hakuna Matata at Seaside
(111 Grayton Street)
Leave your worries at home. In fact this home's name means "no worries" and our guests will have none while vacationing here! Upon your first step onto the long front porch, you will be tempted to stop and rock and relax in the inviting rocking chairs. In fact, every room in the home opens onto the front porch or the second floor balcony. Just a visual reminder that it’s time to relax. You’re on vacation.
When you step inside you first see the spacious family-size living room. There you find a large, flat screen television, a library wall filled with books and games, as well as a table for 4 that can be used for dining or for your favorite family game.
Just around the corner, beyond the centrally located staircase (with an open view into the kitchen) you will find yourself in the large kitchen and dining area, with seating for 6. The kitchen offers granite counter tops and a large cooking island with cook top and oven. There is also a half bath on the first floor.
All 3 bedrooms are located on the second floor. The QUEEN Master Suite bright and cheerfully decorated with many reminders that you are at the beach. Off the master you’ll find a private bath with combination tub/shower.
The 2nd MASTER is also a queen with a flat screen TV. It overlooks the Westside Pool which is just across the street.
The 3rd Bedroom is a kid-friendly suite that’s colorfully decorated and offers plenty of room for the children to sleep and play when they’re not at the beach or the pool. There’s sleeping room for 3 here with twin bunks and a trundle.
If you need more room you can also rent KARIBU (VRBO #280985), the guest cottage that adds a bedroom and living area and sleeps up to 4. Rent these together and you’ll have a wonderful teen suite or grandparents suite that makes this property a perfect vacation home for your family.
A LITTLE ABOUT WHAT MAKES SEASIDE A SPECIAL VACATION EXPERIENCE
The idea behind Seaside came from 1946, when the grandfather of future founder Robert S. Davis bought 80 acres of land along the shore of Northwest Florida as a summer retreat for his family. In 1979 Davis inherited the parcel from his grandfather, and aimed to transform it into an old-fashioned beach town, with traditional wood-framed cottages of the Florida Panhandle.
Three decades ago the town of Seaside was established. And that is part of the magic of Seaside. It is a town. A Florida beach town. It is charming, graceful, eclectic, authentic, romantic. But Seaside isn't just a resort town. It’s a place where family and friends can connect with one another and with the beauty that abounds in this special corner of the world.
Seaside is not a cookie cutter beach resort. There are pools and tennis courts and other beach resort amenities, but Seaside is much more. It is a unique experience that not only changes the way a vacation is experienced, it changes the way a life is experienced. Seaside is a simple and beautiful way of life.
